The Region is offering $500 and $250 bursaries for the 2008-09 school year, to low-income students. Eligible students must be Niagara residents, ages 18-34, with a high school diploma or mature student status. People living on social assistance, in subsidized housing, or on the waiting list for subsidized housing, can apply. Students must submit an application and supporting documentation by 4:30pm Sep 2, 2008. Applications available online at www.niagararegion.ca, at Niagara Region Community Services offices, in the offices of affordable housing providers, and at 2201 St David's Rd W, Thorold, Campbell East building. The program will not necessarily run next year.
