DescriptionThe Canadian Authors Association, Niagara Branch is an association of writers helping other writers in the art of composing and publishing their work. Recognition from their peers when their work is published and an awareness of the sensitivity of fellow writers about work under development is necessary to make this peer support system work.

Since 2012, the Niagara Branch has been providing a program at local libraries and other venues monthly between September and June. All events are posted in advance the website. This included launches for both anthologies and reading sessions jointly sponsored by the St Catharines Public Library in the Mills Room at 54 Church Street, St Catharines. The program offers to members:
* workshops for professional development
* networking opportunities for writers
* members only - writing and editing critique groups
* Canadian Authors In Action sessions twice per year
* opportunities for professional and writers to meet and share career experiences
* guest speakers who are arranged based on the requests of members
* community gatherings to give writers venues for public readings of their work
