DescriptionProvides shelter and services for women and children experiencing abuse. Services include: 24-hour crisis/information line, counselling and emotional support for women and children/youth who are or have been abused, development of safety plans, transitional and housing support, family court support (including accompaniment to court and legal appointments), public education programs, and referrals. 
 
Services are available on an in-shelter or outreach basis.

ApplicationWomen are asked to contact the crisis line at 905-356-5800 to speak with a trained women's intervention advocate. Each crisis situation will be assessed and formal support will be provided based on the situation.

EventsNova Book Riot - Canada's largest used book sale takes place Mother's Day Weekend (Thursday-Sunday). This year's sale will be located at the Niagara Falls Sportsplex at 3710 Sinnicks Ave. Proceeds benefit both shelters. 
 
The Annual "Strike Out Violence" Bowling Tournament is hosted by Women's Place in partnership with the Niagara Regional Police each fall. This fundraiser includes two games of bowling and a dinner reception. Pledges and silent auction proceeds from this event support both our Niagara Falls and Welland shelters.  
 
Cut It Out -- Stop domestic violence in style. 
Participating salons will open their doors on March 9, 2014 (dates may vary for some salons) to raise funds by providing haircuts and activities (raffles, barbecues etc.) to support Women's Place. Proceeds from this event will assist both our Niagara Falls and Welland shelters.
