DescriptionALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a progressively paralyzing and fatal neuromuscular disease. Within two to five years after diagnosis, those living with ALS lose the ability to move, speak and eventually breathe. Every day two to three Canadians are diagnosed and every day two to three people die from ALS.

ALS Canada helps people living with ALS and their families manage the effects of the disease by providing equipment and support services, including education, awareness and Research to continue to find a cure.
