| Description | For adults with serious mental illness, the Homes for Special Care (HSC) Program provides more than just residential group homes in which assistance with activities of daily living and supervision of medication are available * Clinical staff from SJHH Centre for Mountain Health Services also ensure that clients have access to a range of therapeutic/support services (counselling, vocational, educational, leisure, etc.), including skills-based and meaningful programming offered through two Skills Centres * All programming at either the Hamilton or Niagara Skills Centre is client-specific and collaborative, and aims to develop and/or rebuild transferable skills that promote optimum social and civic engagement within the clients' own communities. | |||
